Day 2 of Night Photography

This is day 2! Today became a pretty gloomy rainy day. Bleh.

This photo was taken in Washington DC.

Lately I've been looking for a new job because my current main job is seasonal. My little photography gig I have going on here is a hobby I hope one day will be my main job. I've come across so many awesome photographers on Twitter. One in particular might just make it in my top 5 favorite photographers. Perhaps I will make my top 5 list in another post another day.

     Have a wonderful day everyone!

This is a photo of a fountain, taken in Lancaster PA.

Some side news, I have openings almost all week for shoots. If you would like to have any photography work done this week, 15% will be donated to the Lucky Fin Project. Also I am always accepting photo challenges for future weeks, so be sure to submit those as well.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

A Little About Me

Since my job is to capture a personal moment in your life, and often go on-location with you guys, I decided to make this post about me. Here is a little Q&A:

Q: How did you get your photography name?
A: My mother. No, actually I got Cory Who from a best friends parents.

Q: How long have you been doing your photography thing?
A: Well, I've always enjoyed photography. I loved using my dad's polaroid camera. It really began in 2009 though when I was first published. That makes it 5 years.

Q: How fast are you with getting photos back to clients?
A: I post on my site, "A custom online gallery will be available to you 1-2 weeks after your shoot." It really depends on what type of shoot we do. If they're headshots or basically any portraits, it will be up within 3 days. 1-2 weeks just allows me to cover myself if I'm super busy with family or I have complications with my internet.

Q: When can I order my photos?
A: As soon as I give you your personal link and password to your folder on my site. I open the store immediately after your photos are uploaded and it will remain open for you to purchase photos forever.

I have an adorably awkward, energetic, happy personality. I like to get the job done right.

Keeping Your Files Safe

As a Photographer and Videographer, there is one problem that happens every month. Space. There are many methods to take care of the issue. First and foremost, I believe you should always keep everything backed up on an external hard drive. HDD's aren't as expensive as they used to be. You can get them pretty cheap now.

However, this post is about online storage. I back all my photos up on a secure site, as well as on my external HDD. This site, to my advantage, also works as my own personal website. I use SmugMug. Now with SmugMug you do have to pay a monthly OR yearly fee. Monthly fees range from $5-$35 while the yearly fee ranges from $40-$300. Now unless you plan on owning a full out business, you will not need to spend $300. ALL plans have UNLIMITED storage. That's right, unlimited storage. There is no paying x amount of money for x amount of storage like most sites offer. If you are in need of online storage, here is a link for 20% off. https://secure.smugmug.com/signup?Coupon=pJjRyFCtXbT2E.

I would also like to remind you all that I am accepting photo challenges (within reason) now. The photos will start on Monday. Enjoy the rest of your day!
